Michelle Poyourow is the Principal Associate at Jarrett Walker + Associates, being a recognized transit planner with over 15 years of experience in bus network redesign, public engagement, and integrated land use and mobility policy. She specializes in managing complex transit projects—from large citywide network overhauls to rural service planning—while facilitating effective interagency collaboration and community input. Her background in political advocacy and policy gives her a unique edge in navigating the communication and governance aspects of transit planning. Michelle has managed transit network plans and redesigns for large and small cities including Dallas, Sacramento, and Atlanta. She is currently working on network studies in Wales and Long Island, NY.
